Tippmann TPX Pistol GiveAway at the Living Legends Scenario Game

Living Legends II Paintball Scenario Game

Living Legends II Paintball Scenario Game

The Living Legends Paintball Scenario game is being held this weekend at CPX Sports in Joliet, IL. The field is just south of Chicago. I’ll be attending the game and showing off one of the new Tippmann TPX Pistols that are now starting to arrive in our warehouse.  If you’re planning to attend the game make sure to look me up.

I’ll be giving away the TPX Pistol that I have up there at the end of the event.  I’ll be easy to find.  Look for the guy wearing a shirt that says “FREE TPX Pistol”.  Just come up and say hey and I’ll get you in the drawing.  I’ll also have a special coupon for people I meet up there worth 15% off your next purchase at TippmannParts.com.  Get a Tippmann TPX Pistol for your self or maybe a new accessory for your X7.  Just find me and I’ll hook you up.

Not familiar with this game?  Last year was the first event and over 700 player s attended including many paintball legends from the earliest days of paintball to curent professional players and scenario teams.   There should be 1000+ players this year and it’s not too late to come out and join in the fun.   Just check out the links below for registration information.

The field is conveniently located less than one hour from both O’Hare and Midway airports.

To encourage players to bring a friend or 1st timer, CPX and Tippmann will be offering Free Rentals to Living Legends Paintball Event. The free basic rental equipment will be made available to paid, pre-registered players as part of the “Bring a 1st Timer” promotion while supplies last.

Hope to see you there!  Having trouble finding me?  Check with General Sean Scott of Smart Corps.  He’ll probably have me on a mission somewhere.

TechT Zero Kick Hammer Installation Guide Update

The newest version of the TechT Zero Kick Hammer for Tippmann Paintball Guns comes packaged with a new hammer drive spring. If you did not receive this drive spring and you think your marker needs it, please contact TechT. They will send you the drive spring for free. If you did not receive one, there is no need to freak out immediately. You may not need it. TechT found that some users’ markers needed a stiffer spring in order to get up to 300FPS. Most markers didn’t, but some did, so they started to include it with the hammer.

With that said, below are the instructions on how to install the hammer. Again, I would first set it up with your stock hammer drive spring. If you can not achieve high enough velocity or your cyclone is not cycling you will then need to swap out your stock spring for the stiffer one from TechT.

If you need to contact TechT for the stiff hammer drive spring please call – 901-405-1848 ex.11

For complete installtion instructions, visit the TechT Zero Kick installation page at http://www.techtpaintball.com/hammer_install.html

Tippmann TPX Pistol Relase Date Pushed Back

I just spoke with Tippmann Sports and they’ve pushed the release date of the TPX Pistol back a few weeks.  We now expect to have them in and shipping around the 29th of May, 2009.   Don’t be bummed though.  Remember this is a quality Tippmann product and they don’t want to release something that isn’t up to their standards.

My understanding is that the design is great and prototypes work great.  It looks like a couple of the parts from 3rd party were not manufacturered to Tippmann’s exact specifications.  This caused issues with performance and so halted productions.  Once these component issues are resolved then production should be in full swing.
